Your True Self

I hear my Abba’s still, small voice:

“Come forward, My child. Draw near. Though others expect you to remain in the shadows of unimportance, I entreat you to step forward in all of the uniqueness that I have placed inside you. I celebrate who I made you to be! That’s how much I treasure you! You are My very own one-of-a-kind creation.

“I entreat you to find your true identity in Me. You will come into your greatest expression of who I have made you to be when you pursue Me and love Me with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Focus your attention on Me and I will instruct you and lead you in the way that you should go.

“Beloved, let your character remain soft and pliable in My hands. My purposes for you are excellent, according to My Will. Remain close to Me. Listen with your spiritual ears for My thoughts of you. Recognize with your spiritual eyes My Spirit working on the inside of you, forming your character to be more like Mine. As you become like-minded with who Jesus Christ is in you, you are set free from the contamination of those distractions that seek to draw you away from My side.

Hold nothing back, beloved. The mystery of who I am in you and who you are in Me begins to unfold at that place of full surrender.

“Safety and security are found in My presence. Fullness of joy is found in My presence. Fullness of purpose is found in My presence. When you abide in Me, your life is fully connected to My life-giving presence. Why would you want anything less than these treasures from your Heavenly Father?

“Find your place in Me. When you are rightly secured in My ways and My will, you need not fear taking a wrong turn. Instead, you are rightly positioned to walk the path of righteousness. Watch for new opportunities and do not hesitate to try something new or learn a new skill.  Remain humble before Me and I will position you according to your ability and My purposes.

“Seek out those who wish to serve Me first in their lives and who are like-minded according to My Kingdom purposes. I would not have you find yourself among those who only look for others to serve them and to make their ambitions and plans come to fruition. No. You belong to Me.

“Guard your heart. Stay close. Let Me lead you forth in My peace. Learn how to discern between those who truly belong to Me and those who only wish for you to belong to them. When you notice that peace and truth and hope are present, pay attention, for I am in the midst of that moment. When you notice that strife and mixed messages and competition are present, withdraw yourself from the situation and find that quiet place in Me where you can sort out your thoughts. I will counsel you by My Spirit.

“My child, your days are to be lived—here and now—in My Kingdom, which is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Walk in these and you will walk with Me—and you will become your true self.”
