Pleasant Places

I hear my Abba’s still, small voice:

“Beloved, I long to lead you into pleasant places. I would have you delight in your surroundings, taking rest and enjoyment along the path of your days. Be intentional in leaving your worries and stresses behind, for they only steal your time and your joy. Avoid the rush whenever possible, and take notice of the beauty all around you. Every aspect of My creation is filled with variety and diversity. When you notice it and appreciate it, and it fills you with a sense of wonder, you are celebrating Me, and I appreciate that! And you, in this process, are refreshed and strengthened in your soul.

“Keep moving, always in the knowledge that I am leading you onward and showing you the way. Sometimes the indications I give you will be subtle, and your feet will automatically follow the path. At other times, however, I will give My direction in ways that you cannot possibly miss! Don’t be alarmed when this happens. It doesn’t mean anything is amiss. It just means that I’m directing your path plainly, unmistakably. I’m showing you the way! Isn’t that what you want? Trust Me, as a child trusts a parent when they’re out for a stroll. Don’t worry about where we’re going. I alone know the destination and how and when we’ll get there. In the meantime, let’s enjoy every pleasant moment along the way.”
